Prof. K. V. Krishnamurthy, PhD Prof. K. V. Krishnamurthy is a Professor of Plant Science at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India, and currently serves as Director, Council for College and Curriculum Development. He earned his BSc (First Class, 1964) and MSc (First Class, First Rank, 1966) from the University of Madras, followed by a PhD in Developmental Plant Anatomy in 1973. With over 37 years of teaching and research experience, he has guided undergraduate and postgraduate students in Botany, Plant Science, and Plant Biotechnology. His research focuses on plant morphology, morphogenesis, biodiversity and taxonomy, reproductive biology, ecology, environmental botany, and cytochemistry. He has published over 130 research papers, authored eight books, and contributed to reports from more than ten major research projects.
