Shine Thomas MSc(N), MBA, PhD
is currently Professor and Head, Department of Mental Health Nursing, and Vice Principal, KMCT College of
Nursing, Kozhikode, Kerala. She is a nursing educator, academic leader, researcher, and postgraduate-level
academic guide with extensive experience in mental health nursing education. She has been actively involved in
curriculum development, academic administration, faculty development, and quality assurance in higher
education. Her academic interests extend beyond core mental health nursing to emotional intelligence, high-risk
behaviour, substance-use disorders, and the application of psychological principles in nursing practice and
education. She currently serves as IQAC coordinator, accreditation in-charge, and research guide at the institution.
She has to her credit many publications in indexed journals. She is member of professional bodies including the
