Akash Marathakam MPharm, PhD
is currently Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Sree Gokulam SNGM College of
Pharmacy, Kerala. He is a teacher, academician, researcher, and postgraduate and doctoral-level academic guide
with extensive experience in pharmacy education. He has been actively involved in curriculum development,
academic administration, faculty development, and educational innovation. His academic interests extend beyond
pharmaceutical sciences to the use of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, outcome-based education, and
innovative teaching methods in pharmacy education.
He has served as a subject expert for syllabus committees of the Pharmacy Council of India and is currently a
member of Academic Council, Kerala University of Health Sciences. His research focuses on phytochemistry,
