Harish C. Rai, PhD, is former Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering (now Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology), Murthal, Haryana. He is currently serving as Pro Vice-Chancellor of Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
He obtained his graduate and postgraduate degrees from Delhi College of Engineering and earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi. He has received several prestigious awards, including the Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial National Teacher’s Award (1997), Spardha Shree Award (1999), and Teachers’ Excellence Award (2000).
Prof. Rai has more than 37 years of experience in teaching and academic administration, and has taught undergraduate courses in electrical machines, control engineering, power electronics, and power systems. He has presented several research papers at national and international conferences. His research interests include electrical machines, control of electrical machines, and biomedical electronics.
