Prem Prakash Gupta

Prem Prakash Gupta, PhD Prof. Prem Prakash Gupta is currently Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Seema Dental College and Hospital, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. He has approximately 16 years of teaching experience and more than 8 years of research experience in the fields of cardiac electrophysiology and biochemistry. Before joining the teaching profession in 1996, he worked in various research capacities at the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow. He obtained his Master’s degree in Biochemistry in 1987 from Lucknow and completed his PhD at CDRI, Lucknow. Prof. Gupta has published more than 30 research papers and scientific articles in national and international journals. He has been honoured with the C. L. Malhotra Research Prize (2006–07) by the Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India (APPI) and the Best Teacher Award (2009) from Seema Dental College and Hospital, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. He has served as an examiner in Biochemistry for BDS, BHMS, BPT, BMLT, M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry), M.Sc. (Biotechnology), B.Sc. (Biochemistry), BMM, and other programmes across various universities.
