Prof. A.K. Khurana, MS, FAICO, CTO (London) is Professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at SGT Medical College, Gurugram, Haryana, and former Senior Professor and Head at the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, Rohtak. With over four decades of teaching experience, he has authored 21 books, published more than 260 research papers, and contributed chapters to several postgraduate reference books. He has also served as Editor of the Indian Journal of Strabismus in Paediatric Ophthalmology, Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology, and North Zone Journal of Ophthalmology. Prof. Khurana received a WHO Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, and a Certificate in Tropical Ophthalmology from the University of London. His honors include the Distinguished Author Award, HOS Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology, Lifetime Achievement Awards from SPOSI, NZOS, and ISMSICS, the National Lifetime Achievement Award (UKSOS), FAICO Fellowship, Gold Medal by IIRSI, and the Sushrut Samman, the highest award of the Forum of Ophthalmic Teachers of India.
