Dr. Susanta Kumar Pal is currently a Professor in the Department of Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya (BCKV), Nadia, West Bengal. He began his career as a soil analyst at the Potash Research Institute of India, Gurgaon, Haryana. Since 1992, he has been actively engaged in teaching and research as a senior faculty member at BCKV.
Dr. Pal has served as a postgraduate and doctoral examiner for the last 30 years, evaluating students from various universities. He is the author of the well-known textbook Textbook of Soil Science and has also written Soil Sampling and Methods of Analysis and Methods of Soil and Plant Analysis.
