Shyamala D Manivannan
Shyamala D. Manivannan, PhD (N), MSc (N), RM, RN, is the former Professor and Director (Faculty of Nursing) at Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute (Deemed University), Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She has also served as Principal of MA Chidambaram College of Nursing, Chennai; Vice Dean (Academics) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; and Principal at Dr. M. G. R. Educational and Research Institute (Deemed University), Chennai.
She began her nursing career as a Military Nursing Officer at Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow, in 1981. Subsequently, she pursued Post Basic BSc Nursing at the College of Nursing, Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMCH), Vellore, and continued her professional service in the Department of Community Health Nursing as a Tutor and Nurse Administrator for RUHSA. She later completed her Master’s degree in Community Health Nursing at CMCH, Vellore.
