Savita Malhotra
Savita Malhotra MD. PhD. FAMS is former Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry, and Dean, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, a prestigious institute and centre of excellence for tertiary health care in north India.She has been a WHO Fellow and a British Council Fellow for training in child and adolescent psychiatry in the US and the UK.She has an experience of working in the field of academic psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry for 60 years.
She has written numerous influential research articles, book chapters and books. She is well known nationally and internationally as a highly acclaimed clinician, teacher and researcher in the field of psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry; ond is recipient of many national and international awards and honours. She has been the guiding force behind developmentofchild and adolescent psychiatry as an academic discipline in India.
