Raviraja V Acharya MD, DNB, FRCP (Edin) is currently Professor and Head, Department of Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, MAHE, Manipal. During his postgraduate training, he recognized the need for a concise point-of-care reference in an era before smartphones and easy internet access. With the guidance and contributions of Dr Sudha Vidyasagar, he played a key role in compiling and publishing the earlier editions of this book. He has a keen interest in the application of technology in the practice of medicine.
