Neerja Goel
Neerja Goel MD, FICOG, FAMS, FIMSA is currently Senior Consultant, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
at School of Medical Sciences and Research and Sharda Care Hospital, Sharda University, Greater Noida,
Uttar Pradesh. She is former Director-Professor, UCMS and Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, Delhi. She is graduate
and postgraduate from Lady Hardinge Medical College, Delhi. She has made significant contributions to the
field through research, teaching, and academic leadership.
She has edited 21 books and authored more than 123 publications in national and international journals. She is a
recipient of the State Award and the Best Doctor Award. Her exemplary leadership is reflected in her tenure as President
of the Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Delhi (2011–12).
She has served as an expert member on several national bodies, including UPSC, NAMS, and ICMR. Her areas of
special interest include menopause, reproductive endocrinology, and vaginal surgery.
