Dr Reena J Wani has been in clinical practice and academics for 19 years and is a University-approved PG/UG Teacher for MD, DGO and MBBS. She was recently awarded Dr AR Patel Prize for best research paper 2 years in a row, by Staff Society, Nair Hospital. She was the recipient of prestigious Hargobind Medical Foundation Medical Fellowship 2006 for higher studies in Preventive oncology and Day-care surgery protocols in Lincoln, Nebraska, USA. Besides being an invited speaker, panellist and chairperson at many local, state and national workshops and conferences, she is a prolific writer. She has authored many chapters in FOGSI books, over 25 publications in journals, a textbook "ESSENTIAL OBSTETRICS" and is the editor/co-editor of 5 books. She is a National trainer for PPTCT Program and Lactation Management. She is a WHO certified Trainer for Adolescent Reproductive & Sexual Health and an active member of FOGSI Adolescent Health & Family Welfare Committees, MOGS Managing Committee and the Indian Association of Day-Care Surgeons. MOGS awarded her the Ganatra Trust Prize in 2010 for contribution to Social Issues in Women1s health. Teaching is her passion and she believes that one never stops learning!
