M Chandrasekar MD, PhD is Professor and Head, Department of Physiology, Chairman of the Medical Education Unit, and Vice Principal, Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. He has over 25 years of teaching experience in physiology. He is a member of the vision 2015 of MCI India and also faculty member of education cell of FAIMER. He is an active member of the Research Council of MAHER University and MGR Medical University. At present he is guiding 6 PhD candidates in various disciplines. He has over 46 publications in peer-reviewed journals and has written and published five physiology-related books and manuals. He has organized around four national quiz programs and seminars and over 50 CMEs in various medical colleges, and given around 45 guest lectures in basic and applied physiology. He is currently president of the Association of Physiologists of Tamil Nadu. Punita P ?MD is Assistant Professor, Department of Physiology, Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute, Kancheepuram, Tamil Nadu. She is an active member of Medical Education Unit. She is a certified Level II Kinanthropometrist under International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropomety (ISAK). She has been actively involved in teaching physiology to the MBBS, MD/MS, DM/MCh and MSc students.
