This book is designed to enable the students learn the techniques used in histopathology and cytology laboratories in an easy way, and at the same time help them to prepare for their examinations also.
The contents of the book are based on the day-to-day laboratory practice and also part of the teaching curriculum. The text is not exhaustive and has been kept simple and reader-friendly. Bullets have been used in the text to highlight the importance of steps of different techniques. Photomicrographs included in the book are easily relatable in routine histopathology laboratory work. Tables and diagrams are used appropriately to make contents more lucid and exam-oriented. The book will serve as a valuable text material and guide for the postgraduate students of pathology, young pathologists, laboratory technologists, as well as students of medical laboratory technology.
Jyotsna Madan MBBS, MD is currently Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (PGICH), Noida, UP. She has also been the founder Dean and the interim Director at PGICH. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching and diagnostic pathology and is serving as examiner for both undergraduate and postgraduate examinations in several universities. She has also been trained in conducting fetal autopsies and evaluating placental pathology from the Royal London Hospital, London, UK. She has to her credit many papers published in various national and international journals and is also currently on the panel of reviewers of some acclaimed journals in pathology.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
