Ramnath Misra is currently Professor and Head, Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology, and Dean, Research and Development, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He was a Faculty, Department of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology at various levels from Associate Professor to Professor at the Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, between 1989 through 2019. He was also the Dean of the Institute. He was pivotal in establishing the DM program in Clinical Immunology (now Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology), first time in the country. He is widely acclaimed as an outstanding teacher, clinician and researcher.He is recipient of several national and international awards including the Fellow of the Royal College of Physician (London), National Academy of Medical Sciences and has been bestowed upon the title of 'Master' by the Asia Pacific League Against Rheumatology.
