Niranjan Chavan MD, FICOG, FCPS, DGO, DFP, MICOG, DICOG, Diploma in Endoscopy (USA) is currently Professor and Unit Chief, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal General Hospital and Medical College, Mumbai. He has been a teacher for MS, MD, DGO and MBBS students for the past 28 years and is examiner for theory and practical examinations conducted by MUHS, KUHS, RGUHS and Mumbai University. He received training in endoscopy from Royal Free Hospital,Hampstead,UK, under Dr Adam Magos and has a diploma in endoscopy from Staten Island, New York, USA, with 35 credit hours. He has published many peer reviewed articles in international and national journals and has delivered numerous orations, keynote addresses and guest lectures at various international and national conferences. He has been Chairperson, FOGSI Oncology Committee (2012 2014), Convener, FOGSI Violence Against Doctors Cell (2015-2016), and presently Vice President, MOGS (2020-2021), Scientific Secretary, AFG (2020-2021) and Joint Treasurer, FOGSI (2021 2024). He has received national and international awards from various Obs-gyn organisations and is the only Indian on the editorial board of European Journal of Gynaecologic Oncology and Clinical and Experimental Obstetrics and Gynecology. Avinash De Sousa DPM, MPhil (Psychology), MS (Psychotherapy and Counselling), MBA, PsyD, MS is currently the founder trustee and consultant psychiatrist at De Sousa Foundation a trust that works in the area of mental health awareness across all sectors. He is also a research associate at the Department of Psychiatry, Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Mumbai.He has been actively involved in training undergraduate and postgraduate students in psychiatry, psychology, special education and social work for the past 20 years. He is Editor, Indian Journal of Mental Health, and has published over 700 papers in various national and international journals.He is currently Associate Editor,Global Bioethics Enquiry and Annals of Indian Psychiatry, and Assistant Editor, Indian Journal of Psychiatry. He is also Secretary, Indian Association of Biological Psychiatry, and Vice President, Bombay Psychiatric Society (2020-2021). He has received awards for various paper presentations in national and international conferences. Komal Chavan MD, DNB, MNAMS, FCPS, DGO, FICOG, Diploma in Reproductive Medicine (UK-SH Germany) is currently Medical Director,Chavan Maternity and Nursing Home,and Asstt Honorary Professor, Dr RN Cooper Hospital and HBT Medical College, Mumbai. She is Chairperson, FOGSI Medical Disorders in Pregnancy Committee,and member,Managing Committee of MOGS and AFG. She has over 15 publications in international and national journals to her credit. She had passion for academics, is editor of the book Haematological Disorders in Pregnancy, and has contributed chapters in textbooks.
