Chandrakant Kokate MPharm, PhD, a renowned name in Indian pharmaceutical education, is currently the Vice- Chancellor of KLE University, Belgaum, Karnataka. Prof. Kokate has served as the President of Pharmacy Council of India for a decade and was also the President of Indian Pharmaceutical Association (2000-02). He was the Chairman of All India Board for Pharmacy Education of AICTE and has also served in the AICTE Executive Committee. He has the honour of being the first pharmacist in the country to become the vice-chancellor of Indian universities-Kakatiya University, Acharya Nagarjuna University (additional charge) and, currently, KLE University. Sunil S Jalalpure MPharm, PhD, is currently Professor at College of Pharmacy, KLE University, Belgaum. He has undergone research training at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa, on Sophisticated Analytical Instruments.
