Mohd. Aqil is Assistant Professor at Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), New Delhi. He has 16 years` experience of teaching and research in pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice. Having completed his PhD in pharmaceutics from Jamia Hamdard in 2002, he has supervised 4 PhD theses and 20 MPharm dissertations. He has published more than 100 papers in national and international journals and has co-authored five books. He has presented his research at several national and international conferences. He has been granted two Indian patents and is a life member of several professional organizations. He was a recipient of the Scientist of the Year Award for the year 2006. He is the editor of the Journal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences. He was a visiting scientist to the School of Pharmacy, London, under the International Exchange of Scientists Programme of Indian National Science Academy and the Royal Society, UK, in 2006 and was also a recipient of BOYSCAST fellowship of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, for a post-doctoral research assignment at the University of Queensland, Australia. in 2008.
