Balkishen Razdan has been in pharmaceutical education for the last four decades. He was on the staff of Department of Pharmacy Birla College of Science Pharmacy and Commerce now Birla Institute of Technology and Science his alma mater for 14 years. After his postdoctoral studies at the Institute for Biochemie Munchen Germany as Max-Planck Fellow he joined Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra Ranchi. At BIT he was responsible for upgrading the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and introducing postgraduate and research programmes. He retired in 1998 from BIT as Dean Postgraduate Studies and Research and Head Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.After his retirement from BIT Prof. Razdan joined Sardar Bhagwan Singh Postgraduate Institute of Biomedical Sciences and Research Balawala Dehradunas Additional Director and Head Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences from where he retired as Director in January 2009.
