Indu Khurana MD, is presently serving as Professor Emeritus and Joint Editor IJHSC; at SGT University, Budhera, Gurugram. She has more than 45 years of teaching experience. Formerly, she was Dean-cum-Principal and Professor of Physiology at World College of Medical Sciences and Research, Jhajjar and Senior Professor and Head Department of Physiology at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS) Rohtak, and Dean Faculty of Pre-Clinical Sciences, University of Health Sciences (UHS), Rohtak. She is Founder President of Association of Physiologist of Haryana. She has published extensively in national and international journals with discovery of a new reflex, the `Oculodepressor reflex` (ODR), and three distinct patterns of Oculorespiratory reflex (ORR) to her credit. For her valuable contribution in the physiology of Oculovisceral reflexes, she has been bestowed with excellence awards by American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and Strabismological Society of India (SSI). She has also been honored with Excellence Award by Association of Physiologist of Haryana for her exemplary contribution to the field of Physiology. She has also been bestowed with National Lifetime Achievement Award by Society of Basic and Applied Physiology for her contribution to academics as an author of repute and scientific research worker in the field of Physiology. She is an established author having published many successful books, namely Textbook of Medical Physiology for Postgraduates, Medical Physiology for Undergraduate Students, Textbook of Anatomy and Physiology of Eye, Essential of Medical Physiology, Concise Textbook of Physiology, Textbook of Human Embryology, and Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Diploma Nursing. She has also contributed many chapters to Ocular Physiology for Modern System of Ophthalmology, a postgraduate reference book. Arushi Khurana MD, is presently serving as faculty at Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine and Science, Rochester, Minnesota, USA. She has completed her Advanced Hematology Fellowship in Lymphoma from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. She has previously worked as Chief Fellow and completed her fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in Richmond, VA. She completed her Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut and also served as Chief Medical Resident. She graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India and has been a dedicated and passionate student of Physiology. She has presented many papers at international conferences and received Harold N Willard, MD Award for excellence in ambulatory care. She has published multiple scientific articles in journals of repute. She is the author of the book Human Embryology and co-author of Textbook of Medical Physiology, Textbook of Anatomy and Physiology for Health Professionals, Concise Textbook of Physiology and Fundamentals of Anatomy and Physiology for Nursing and Allied Health Published by Oxford University Press, Malaysia. N Gurukripa Kowlgi MD, is presently serving as faculty at Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine Rochester, Minnesota, USA and has completed his two years fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA. He has previously worked as Chief Fellow and completed his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), in Richmond, VA. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the University of Connecticut and also served as Chief Medical Resident. He is a graduate of Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India. His clinical interests include cardiovascular and exercise physiology, especially in athletes. He has presented many papers at national and international conferences. During his training, he has received numerous accolades including the Orhan Muren, MD Award for the Outstanding Fellow in Internal Medicine, Outstanding First-Year Cardiology Fellow, Ralph F. Reinfrank, MD Award for excellence in teaching and Medical Intern of the Year. He has published multiple manuscripts in reputed journals. He is also the national winner of the American College of Cardiology Fellows in Training Jeopardy: Battle of the States. He is a co-author of Textbook of Medical Physiology.
