Panchali Pal PhD, MSc (N), MA Public Administration, BSc (N), is currently working as Professor cum Principal at Kothari Institute of NursingKothari Medical Centre affiliated to The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. She has completed BSc (Hons) Nursing from AIIMS, New Delhi and MSc Nursing from SNDT Women`s University, Mumbai; and has also done MA in Public Administration. Currently, she completed PhD from the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, Kolkata. She has been involved in teaching pediatrics for more than a decade. She has been the examiner of internal and external universities and other examination-related activities of university. Apart from this, she has also been a member of University Syllabus Review Committee for MSc Nursing, and has published papers in National and International journals, and presented papers in various conferences. The author is the recipient of Asian Patient Safety Award for best poster presentation in Asian Patient Safety Congress. She is the National Faculty of neonatal resuscitation and master trainer of essential newborn care. Last but not least, she is a lifetime member of various professional organizations, like TNAI, NNF, IANN, NRSI, and NHF & W. Her thrust areas are newborn care, pediatric surgery, behavioral pediatrics, and children with HIV/AIDS.
