With the explosion of information and the time constraint for the students to imbibe the vast volume of knowledge, coupled with scarcity of teachers dedicated to teaching undergraduate medical students, proper assessment, both continuous and summative, becomes a problem. This is where the use of multiple choice questions (MCQs) helps in measuring the depth of knowledge of a student in a short period of time without any subjective bias.
This book contains more than 2,500 questions in surgery, including applied anatomy and basic orthopaedics. Though clinical scenarios are not given, the teachers can use their creative ability to present one which requires the correct choice. There are very simple and also difficult questions in random order from which the teacher can choose according to his requirement. The book presents an excellent way of revising the entire subject before surgery theory examination.
