Dr. Harbansh Lal, a graduate and postgraduate of King George`s Medical College, Lucknow, is a practising ophthalmologist for over 30 years, and is one of the pioneers of phaco in the country. Amongst the earliest to start chopping and to perform phaco under topical anaesthesia, his keen interest in the subject prompted him to conduct a number of workshops on phacoemulsification. He has performed live surgical demonstrations of this technique all over the country including Delhi, Kochi, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Varanasi, Sitapur, Rohtak, Allahabad, Lucknow, Moradabad, and Ambala to name a few. The accolades received regarding his teaching skills from his peers and those trained by him, inspired him to spare the time from his busy schedule to undertake this project. Dr. Anita Sethi trained in AIIMS and received her fellowship from Edinburgh, UK. Besides anterior segment surgery, she also specialized for three years in Ophthalmoplasty and Pediatric Ophthalmology and has chaired sessions and conducted workshops of the same at a National level. She is presently working as Senior Consultant at Nova Medical Centre and Artemis Eye Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Tinku Bali Razdan did her MS from King George`s Medical College, Lucknow, followed by Vitreoretinal fellowship at L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, New York. She has also been awarded FRCS (Glasgow). Presently, she is working as a Vitreoretinal Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Bhartendu Kumar Varma, DNB, FICO. Currently working as a Senior Resident at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Ikeda Lal, MS from PGIMS, Rohtak. Cornea Fellowship from L.V. Prasad Eye Institute. Dr. Ranjan Dutta, MD (AIIMS).
