This book has described several unusual structures hitherto unknown to the geoscientists of India. Deformative forces being instrumental in the development of the various structures, this aspect bas been described in one chapter, elaborating th e Modus Operendi of individual structures. Concept of paired geological events bas been introduced for the first time in the geological literature. Chapters entitled Some concepts, Importance of structures, Classification of the deformative forces are again not described separately by many authors. The matter described in the said chapters in this book will be found very useful by the researchers and the thinkers. Examples of structures from India as available in the literature have been enlisted. Seeing is knowing them. The account given in this book is such that it is useful to a beginner, as well as to those who are desirous of breaking new ground in the field of structural geology. The text is free from constraints of curricular syllabus.
