Avinash Kaur Rana, BSc Nursing (Post Basic), MSc Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing), Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery and PhD from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India, is a former Lecturer at National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE) PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She has considerable teaching experience as Sister Tutor (1985–2016), Clinical Instructor (1985–1999) and Lecturer (2000–2019). The author is a recipient of meritorious award in the year 1976 for best Clinical Performance in Labor Room, PGIMER, Chandigarh. She was also awarded WHO Fellowship from July to Aug 2005 for attending Course on Community Health Care and Research at Khon Kaen University, Thailand. She is a member of various national scientific bodies. The author is an accomplished writer, who has published various articles and chapters in many journals and books. Besides, she has organized a number of workshops and courses on Nursing Management. She has been an external examiner for various universities as well. The author has presented various scientific papers at national and international levels. After her retirement, she worked as professor cum principal in various private colleges of nursing. Sushma Kumari Saini, BSc (N), MSc (Community Health Nursing) from the College of Nursing, PGIMER, Chandigarh and PhD from Punjab University Chandigarh, is an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She has about 39 years of experience in Nursing. The author is a PhD guide for PhD consortium of the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and PGI, Chandigarh. She has been the Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Community Health Nursing for 5 years and Joint Editor of the Nursing and Midwifery Research Journal for 19 years. She is a member of the editorial board of many reputed journals. The author has more than a hundred publications in reputed journals to her credit. She is the author of popular titles, like Midwifery Case Book for BSc Nursing, BSc Nursing (Post Basic) and MSc Nursing, and Editor of Clinical Nursing Procedures published by CBS Publishers & Distributors Pvt. Ltd. 2022. She has worked in the capacity of project director in the composite Target Intervention Project in collaboration with the State AIDS Control Society and Indian Public Health Association, PGIMER, Chandigarh for 10 years. She has been the principal investigator and co-investigator in research projects funded by ICMR, Institute Research Scheme, PGIMER, Chandigarh. Besides, she is a member of 19 national and international scientific bodies and Chapter Secretary of the Society of Midwives of India, Secretary of Society of Public Health Education Research & Empowerment (SPHERE), and Vice President, of the Nursing Research Forum. She has been awarded the Outstanding Scientist Award in “International Scientist Awards 2020 on Engineering, Science and Medicine” by Vdgood Professional Association, India, and a university medal in MSc Nursing by Punjab University. Manpreet Kaur BSc (N), MSc (N), is nursing faculty at National Institute of Nursing Education (NINE) PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She obtained her degree in BSc Nursing, MSc Nursing (Obstetrical and Gynecology Nursing) from PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She has considerable teaching experience. She is a member of various national scientific bodies. She is a prolific writer, who has published various articles and chapters in many journals and books. A recipient of best paper award by National Research Society of India, she has organized a number of workshops as well.
