He has published 64 research papers besides having contributed chapters and co-authored books on radiology. He was awarded "Dr. N. Ram Das Best Research Paper Award" by Indian College of Radiology due to his extensive academic contribution. He has been awarded Fellowships of College of General Practitioners; M/s German Travelling; Indian College of Radiology and Imaging; and IMA Academy of Medical Specialities. Satish K. Bhargava, MD (Radiodiagnosis), MD (Radiotherapy), DMRD, FICRI, FIAMS, FCCP, FUSI, FIMSA, FAMS, was Head, Deptt. of Radiology at University College of Medical Sciences (Delhi University) & GTB Hospital and J.N. Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, Sharda University, Greater Noida. He is an excellent teacher, researcher and recipient of many national and international awards. He has authored many books including a book in Hindi and was awarded "Maulik Hindi Pustak Puraskar" by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, "DNB Excellent Teachers Award 2014" by National Board of Examination, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and "DMA Vishisht Chikitsak Ratan Award" by Delhi Medical Association. Prof. Bhargava has widely travelled abroad for a number of assignments and fellowships like WHO Fellowship to USA and Finland; Visiting Fellowship to Holland; Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA; Thomas Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, USA; and UK etc. He has wide and rich experience in the field of radioimaging and has extensive contribution in this field. To cope- up with the shortage of technical manpower, in the field of radioimaging in the Indian Subcontinent, he was instrumental in starting vocational training courses like Diploma in Radiography, B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Medical Imaging Technology (Radiography) courses at University of Delhi. He served as Secretary and then Chairman, Indian College of Radiology and Imaging; and National President, Indian Radiological and Imaging Association.
