Rastogi, former Professor and Head, Department of Biological Sciences, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, has a rich experience of teaching and research spanning more than 40 years. He has taught and supervised doctoral research in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry, enzyme biotechnology and physiology. He has successfully completed several research projects on biotechnology sanctioned by Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Govt. of India, New Delhi. He has to his credit about 75 research publications in journals of international repute; authored and edited several books and proceedings of many symposia. As a biologist of repute, and accredited with many a educational innovations, he has been a constant participant in course development activity at BITS and other universities, and has served on various committees. He is a Life-Fellow of Society of Biosciences and Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Zoological Society.
