Poonam Agrawal MBBS,MD,FIMSA,ACME is currently Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Santosh Medical College,Santosh Deemed to be University,Ghaziabad,UP,and former Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi. She is also a passionate teacher, author and medical educationist. She possesses a vast experience of almost two decades of teaching students belonging to diverse medical fields including MBBS,MD,BDS,BPharm,BSc (Nursing) and other paramedical courses. She is a medical education enthusiast and has formulated and implemented various innovative ways of teaching biochemistry to medical students,which not only make the subject easy to learn but also clinically relevant. She strongly believes that biochemistry should be taught in medical colleges in such a fashion that this can be applied in solving various clinical puzzles on daily basis. Along with this new title,she has written five more books on various aspects of biochemistry: Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Approach and Case Studies for MBBS Students, Clinical Case Discussion in Biochemistry, Review of Biochemistry for PGMEE, Concepts in Biochemistry based on CBME and Practical Biochemistry on CBME.In addition,she has been the South Asian Editor for Cell and Molecular Biology: LIR.
