Nafis Ahmad Faruqi MBBS, MS is former Professor, Department of Anatomy, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He completed his MBBS (1976) and MS in Anatomy (1981) from the same college. He has 40 years experience of teaching anatomy. His special areas of research are neuroanatomy, microanatomy, morphometry, histomorphometry and fetal anatomy. He has to his credit more the 110 papers published in both national and international journals. He has supervised many postgraduate candidates in anatomy and participated in several conferences and research courses, and delivered a large number of invited lectures. Owing to his exceptionally bright academic career he was offered membership of New York Academy of Sciences in 1997 and awarded Man of the Year in 2002 by American Biological Institute. Besides this, he is author of four other textbooks dedicated to medical and dental students.
