Now a days AIR POLLUTION is a widely discussed subject, because of the seriousness of the problem.
Scientists and engineers need to know about the basic fundamentals of air pollution. Recognising this need, organisations like University Grants Commission and All India Council of Technical Education granted permission to the various universities to start courses on Environmental Sciences and Engineering at under- graduate and postgraduate levels. To facilitate teaching of these courses, it has become necessary to develop textbooks on environmental sciences including air pollution.
