This book presents a brief outline of hydrology beginning with a discussion of the physical and chemical attributes that make water such a unique substance and going on to a step-by-step discussion of the water cycle. Wherever possible -the explain pies of actual occurrences from the real world. Then at the end of each chapter is a section entitled Applications. These are more complete accounts of real occurrences and are intended to show how to apply the principles of hydrology to practical problems in everyday life.
