DV Reddy BVSC, MVSc (Animal Science), PhD (Animal Nutrition) is former Professor and Head, Department of Animal Nutrition, and Dean, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research, Puducherry (UT). He has been in government service for 36 years-as veterinary doctor in a rural area (Andhra Pradesh), lecturer in dairy science (Jawahar Bharati, Kavali, AP), teacher and researcher in AP Agricultural University (Tirupati Campus) and as Professor at Veterinary Institute, Puducherry. He is passionately pursuing his animal science educator job for which he is actively reading and writing for students of his profession as a way of paying his gratitude to the society. Recognising his contributions towards the advancement of the profession, he was conferred with 'Fellow Membership diploma (FUWAI)' by United Writers' Association, Chennai, in 1998, Fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (India) (FNAVS) in 2006, Fellow of the Animal Nutrition Association (FANA) in 2006, Achievement Award in 2014 by CLFMA of India, and Fellow of Veterinary and Animal Science (FVASc) in 2016 by Veterinary and Animal Science Research Foundation.
