H. K. Dass retired as Professor from Pusa Polytechnic, Delhi, and continued teaching at several institutions for over five decades. He was awarded the prestigious British Commonwealth Scholarship (1971–72) for specialist studies in advanced mathematics at the University of Hull, England. An academician par excellence, he inspired generations of students through his strong belief in education as a means of empowerment. He has authored more than 50 widely acclaimed mathematics textbooks and is remembered as one of the most popular teachers among students, known for his ability to simplify concepts and promote deep conceptual understanding rather than rote learning.
